Straw Bossin'

A "straw boss" is a person who is not the supervisor, but serves as an assistant or is in a secondary supervisory role.  
However, the person orders the rest of the staff or crew as if he were the sole supervisor.

Here's an example of the straw boss leaning on his cane, which he uses to point out places the "crew" needs to burn.

And the straw boss also sits on the step to better supervise the "crew".

The "crew" did a fine job don't you think?
