This is one of my favorite finishes! I just love how it came out.
This pretty panel is called Holiday Heartland from Henry Glass Fabrics. I got it on the All Iowa Shop Hop visit to Keeping You Sewing in Clinton, Iowa.
I don't remember where I got the quilts on a line fabric that is part of a large line of prints that go together, but it's so cute along the border.
Here's the back it's some Christmas fabric from my stash.
I did loopy free motion quilting on my BabyLock, and I did it in rows instead of meandering. I like how it looks! It reminded me of blowing snowing swirling around. I tried to get some pictures outdoors so the colors would be a little bit more true.
Between the wind and the shade, I wasn't too successful.
You can see the quilting a little bit better in these pictures.
I shopped my stash for the rest of the fabrics.
Two shades of gray and the dark green were from Heritage Needlework in Amana.
Here is is being spray basted on the garage door-it might be the last warm day I get to do this outdoors for awhile!
I used up all the big scraps of batting-no one will ever know!
And here are the blocks being laid out for a test.
Love it-and it's going to go live in Des Moines! Here's the link to the Free pattern! The Henry Glass folks have a lot of free patterns and this one sewed up very well!
