I got this cute quilt kit from the folks over at Helio's Quilt Shop awhile back. I loved the cowboy motif on the 10" squares. So I got going getting it stitched up and laid out.
So now we got this all fixed up!Here it is all loaded up on Freddie. I chose a loopy design to quilt. It reminds me of lasso ropes!
I've been struggling with the edge alignment as the machine goes through zones. See the arrow pointing at the design that is way over too far to the right.
It worked out ok, but I will need to work out how to not have that happen.
Freddie did a good job, I had a couple of thread breaks, but I'm getting really good at repairing those!
You can see the design here on this screen.
Here it is coming off the rails! All done quilting! The backing fabric is so nice! I ordered it from a place called My Favorite Quilt Shop. Here's a link my favorite quilt store
I thought the cowboy boots was the perfect backing and it's that nice 108" so I only needed 2.5 yards! And here it is all finished on the porch.
This is actually the 2nd time I 've made this pattern. I made it back in 2023. The pattern was free in the Minnesota Shop Hop magazine! I forgot all about it, until I was making these blocks and thought they seemed familiar! Here's that quilt! And the link to my 2023 post Bonnie Blog YouSO anyways, I bought the kit for the cowboy quilt and already owned the pattern, but didn't know it!!
