Shopping Excersion

So today me & my Mom made a whirlwind fabric store tour.
First stop Westside sewing In Cedar Rapids Iowa. What a nice store. Located at 4100 1st Ave NE in CR,neither of us had ever been to this store. I sure don't know why! Nice and big with a nice selection of fabrics, quilters favorites as well as lovely woolens and such wonderful bridal style laces.
Next stop was Younkers where we were unsuccessful at locating a duvet. Oh well, it was nearly lunch time so we drove over to Granite City.
Interesting place, and again neither of us had ever been here,  they brew beer here. I ordered a Napa Valley Burger.
It was OK. The burger cooked well, and I really liked the flatbread bun. It had a lot of greens and a slice of prosciutto, but I still missed ketchup.  Those skinny fries were great!  Mom had the Chop Salad.
Again it was OK. She didn't care for the smoky flavor of the chicken at all. The menu said it was grilled chicken but it seemed awful smokey flavored. The dressing was just so-so too. Note to self- If we go there again, order dressing on the side.  Not the greatest $25 lunch either of us ever had.
Oh well there's fabric to be fondled! Onward!

Next stop Pine Needles Quilting Shop located at 1000 Old Marion Rd in Cedar Rapids Iowa,
this shop is a wonderland, large and airy with Bernina machines and so much fabric! Oh my...

Oh I could spend HOURS in this store! And they were so helpful choosing fabrics for Mom's next project. It was a great visit.
And then we stopped off at Hancocks out on Edgewood Road in Cedar Rapids Iowa, they had their bag sale on so we got an extra 10% off on all our purchases! Yay for a good deal!! After a short stop for some refreshments, we were on the way home! What a great afternoon with Mom and Fabric!
