There was a small auction up in Cedar Rpaids today so I stopped pver to see wha tthey had. It seemed to me like they should have had a yard sale instead of an auction.
But, I did see this very interesting photograph in the piles. It says Forbes Bros. on the store windows. ON the back of the photo in pencil in says Pasadena California. Est. 1884 (I think the pencil is pretty faint)
Since my mom's people are Forbes' I thought I'd bid on the box when it came up.
And no big surprise, but I got a whole bunch of photos of people I don't know! Makes me laugh though, most are very old and have wonderful clothes and hats, there are a lot of them!
