It's That Time Again

 I spent a few minutes in the garage over the weekend and rotated the snow blower with the lawn mower. It's about time to start mowing.

 On Saturday I stopped at the High School and participated in the Drive One For Your School event sponsored by Junge Ford. The deal is, you go and drive a new car and they contribute $20 for each test drive to the school.

 I drove this big diesel pick up! I figured, I'll never be able to afford one, so it's time to test drive.

 If the upholstery wasn't such an ugly color, I would have been even more impressed-it was a really nice drive. Sun roof, all kinds of bells and whistles-running boards that automatically pop out to step on...pretty cool!

 But at $68,330.00 I'll never have one of these big trucks! Oh wait there's a $500 discount ONLY $67,830.

Good thing they gave the school $20 for my test drive! Jeepers!!!

I Drove One 4UR Community

Today our local Ford dealer, Carter Ford, sponsored a Drive One 4UR community event. Ford pays $20 for every test drive taken on the day of the event. This time the money goes to the oxford Fire Department. I drove a 2015 Ford Edge. It was a really pretty car to drive. Bigger inside than my G6. 

 Look it has that cool rear view camera! It was pretty cool to see how close to the car behind me I was when parking.

 The backseat was roomy too, with outlets for electronics and separate temperature controls too!

 It was fun to drive a new car. I've been thinking about car shopping again...

 But I better finish paying off a few other things first!

If there's a Drive One event in your town you should go test drive a new Ford. It's a great way to make a few thousand bucks for a cause and it's free to drive a car! Fun for all!

Drive 4 UR Community

Ford motor Company has a program called Drive 4 UR Community, it lets folks drive a new Ford car and then Ford gives the school cash after the test driver fills out a one page survey. The whole thing take about 15 minutes and if our local Ford dealer, Carter Ford, can get 300 people to test drive a car , Ford will pay our local elementary schools $6000.!

 Wow is it a nice big car! Lots of room in here!

 It has all the bells and whistles! Hands free phone access with Ford sync, climate control, all kinds of options!

 This model has heated leather seats!

And look 3rd row seating! Well that was a fun test drive! I love this fundraiser. I don't have to buy anything from kids selling knickknacks, and it only take s a few minutes. If you get the chance to drive  4URcommunity, make sure you do it!
