Well Here We Are

 It's April already! I didn't do a thing for the Easter Holiday. It was a peaceful day. And look 

The tulips and daffodils are popping

And there are violets! Too bad it's only going to be about 40 tomorrow. Anyways, I did finish a couple of things.

This cute little baby quilt was a quick finish. I was glad to get this fabric out of my stash. It was a panel with samples of the coordinating fabrics. So I just cut it all into 10" squares and zipped it up!

It was very windy so not a great picture. That green plaid on the back, I got on sale for really cheap after St Patty's day! 

Maybe you can see the big jungle leaf motif I used to quilt it. It's a built in design on Freddie. 

And this table runner was a kit I got at at the I-80 shopping event awhile back. and the lady at this one booth looked kind of forlorn, so I thought I should buy something. 

I have never done a table runner on Freddie before, so it was a little bit different.

But it went fast and easy.

And here it is all finished. 

This will be going to my sister's next time I'm over that way. 

And one more project out of the stash. I'll have my pile under control before long. 

Way Back in September.....

 So, WAYYYY back in September, I had a bunch of squares leftover from another quilt I made. This one-which I do like!

SO I put them together to make a little baby quilt. And then I set it aside, because I really didn't like it very much.  But I do have a problem with keeping things around unfinished. Sooooo

I loaded it up on Freddie and released the Quilt Path equipment and free motion quilted.

A good old meandering with hearts here and there. I used to do this quite a bit on my regular sewing machine back in the day (AKA before Freddie).

It took a minute to get it flowing again, but I still got it!

Here it is all finished! On the porch, it was a little bit windy.

But it looks great! I don't know why I didn't like it for so long!

I used a bit of fleece-one of the last things I bought from Joann before they closed-and it looks great!

Nice and cozy-far too hot for a day like today!

And of course I've been busy with this little guy.....

He's drinking dog water....

He's pushing Ringo out of the way so he can get his head in there.....

I hope those are the good kind of dog germs.

And he's learning to use the big kid swing-I took down the baby swing. And he can climb the fence-I can't wait for the escape!!! (HUGE eyeroll)

And he got a big bunch of magnetic letters from sweet Liesha and her boy. 

This was before he threw them all over the place!

Educational......ok. 

Baby Quilt for A Gift

SO I pulled out this cute alphabet animal fabric to make a baby quilt for Lovely Jean's co-worker.  I think she said it's a boy, so I coordinated the little blue checks with it. This is the same pattern I used for the quilt I made earlier in the civil war/reproduction/prim fabric. It's a free pattern from So Can She here's the LINK. It's laid out on the diagonal, so I starteched the heck out of the border when I pressed it.

I had just a tiny little bump in the edge when I loaded it on Freddie, but I worked it in pretty well. I'm getting good at fudging those bumps in!

I used the same heart design that I used in the red quilt HERE. 

I made it kind of scrappy and was torn with how the 4 patch squares should go. I settled with them going any way they want to!

The animals are so cute and a nice variety. I added borders to the backing and I think I did a pretty darn good job getting the animal print centered on the back. 

I had a little trouble with Freddie and thread breaks, but I'm getting very good at fixing the stitching when that happens. 

It came out very good I think! One more practice quilt done!

I think I'll be practicing for a LONG time. 

And this little guy has been very busy outdoors!

Trying to escape, 

catching poor Bob,

dumping my shredder bin in the house, 

playing on the porch, 

and inspecting sticks out in the yard.

I'll need to work in some more quilting time!
