Birthday Bingo

 So, if you go to Meskwaki Bingo & Casino over in Tama Iowa on your birthday, you get a credit so you can play almost free. I grabbed my bingo dauber tote bag and headed out!

 Except for a little detour! The water was over the road over near Belle Plaine, so I took a detour, which also had water over the road, until I finally made my way though the back-roads of rural Iowa to the casino!

 They have new computers! YAY! they are sleek little tablet like devices. I also got a paper card so I could daub cards too...and have more chances to win!

 So this guy was sitting right behind me...can you see he's got a bald spot on his head? Well I kept looking and I couldn't figure it out.....

 He has a tattoo on his head!!!!!!!!! It's a character pushing a lawn mower!!! Seriously, I've seen quite a few tattoos, but really?? I couldn't get a really good picture-the overhead lighting was a glare on his head. Anyways, I was amused.

 And SURPRISE! I broke the losing streak! I had to split the pot with another winner, but I got $50!! So even with the detours, it was worth it!

 Then my DD, brought me cupcakes and flowers! WOW! Are those the most beautiful roses!! They are just lovely!! And cupcakes from Scratch Bakery. YUM!

SO I had a lucky day! Who could ask for a better birthday!

Losers on Saturday

Well it's a sad thing to say, but we are still losers at Bingo. We traveled over the The Meskwaki Casino to play bingo and to share breakfast with the parents and sister. We had a really good breakfast at the cafe in the hotel, then treked over to the bingo area.

Even Uber son wasn't a lucky charm for us today. Jean tried her best, and DD hardly got close. And me, snort...I think I better just enjoy breakfast in the future.

  

 I did catch a little bit of entertainment.....

Check out the pants this lady is wearing. WOW! I bet they are some fancy expensive designer..but they sure were unusual!

So after arriving back to good old Oxford we popped in to Bootleggers Antique Warehouse to take our minds off of being losers. Love to stop at that place, it's like walking into a pinterest page.

It seemed like a Good Idea At the Time....

We packed up the daubers and set off to $1199 payout night a Meskwaki Saturday. DD and me some serious Bingo waiting to happen.....

We played warm ups....deep sigh, no winning, we played early birds...deep sigh, no winning...we waited for the big money games to start......the guy two chairs over won!!!! Oh well it's always fun to go to bingo.
And look the lilacs a smelling up the place...they are wonderful!

SO today DD came to mow the lawn and dump off some rocks from her yard....all I'm sayin is if somebody wants to dump some rocks out of a pick up truck backed up to a chain link fence, just say no thanks honey!!!

Big Winners!

So coming home from Mom& Dad's we go right by the Bingo Hall. It was calling our names. We had to stop. They have these new gadgets that play for you! Look you can nap and it will beep at you when you are down to 1 number! You don't even have to check your numbers or anything...it almost feels like cheating!!!

I won $50 on the very 1st warm up game! What fun! Course, it cost $30 to play so I'm still a little ahead but after some nachos, and a 2nd bonanza bingo card and a late bird special,...well let's just say it's always fun playing BINGO with Darling Daughter!

79th Family Reunion-Bingo!!

So the Labor Day weekend always brings the Forbes Family reunion. When my sibs and me were young it was a pretty big gathering. Nowadays it's a bit on the small side, but still an event to behold.It's always a good thing to keep in touch.
I was negligent and didn't take many pictures this year. BUT My favorite cousin, Robin, and her Aunt, and DD and her Hubs and Val and Barry went and played Bingo at the casino.

I happened to win one game $50 buckeroos! YAY!!!!
