It's not Summer Without Baseball

My employer, from whom I retired, still gives out tickets to retirees!  So we loaded up and headed to the Kernel's Game!

Dilly and Mommy were busy....

And the big kids all had fun-Hayden wanted to find the camera guy so he could get on the big jumbo screen. 

Drew got the foam finger and they all cheered for the Kernels.

But look who got on the jumbo Screen!

Yup, there's our boy Dylan!

Poor Hayden-didn't stand a chance with this kind of cuteness!

 

Shop Hopping in the Rain

SO I made pretty good progress collecting the stamps needed to get entries for the All Iowa Quilt Shop Hop. If shops would keep just slightly longer hours, I'd be done with at least one section! I was in Pella at 1:50pm and knew I couldn't make it to Montezuma by 2:00! I did get to Brooklyn The Brooklyn Fabric Company was a shop I didn't even know existed! Great prices and very nice folks there! Quilter's Paradise in Mt Pleasant was a fun little shop too. I bought this fat quarter bundle..

Too fun! It's called The Good Life. You know what they say, you should buy it when you see it because nobody else will have it, and that's the case with this fabric!
We were supposed to go to the Cedar Rapids Kernels game Saturday night, but we got rained out!

 Look at it coming down!!

 Bean went with me, but we'll have to go another time-our tickets are still good, you just have to trade em in for another game day.

The Ol' Ball Game Plus Prom

 So, Saturday was a busy day-it was Prom night, so Lovely Jean had the task of getting Caitlynn and her date out the door on time.

I took a quick snapshot before the evening got underway with a quick stop at the Depot in Tiffin. Don't they look sweet?

 And cute shoes too!

 SO then the rest of us plus Kayla & her son Ryker headed for the Ol Ball Game. It was P&G night so I got tickets from my employer, P&G. #pandgemployee!

 It was beautiful weather for the ball game! Plus they showed the Kentucky Derby on the big screen TV in center field before the game!

 Kevin & Ben were having a great time....

 And there were Pokemon there to be captured too!LOL!

 Selfies were fun of course!

 Jaymie & Ryker had a good time-there was cotton candy involved...

And fireworks to finish the night off! Always a good time at Memorial Stadium in Cedar Rapids-and the Kernels WON!

So last night was P&G night at the Kernels baseball game. My employer (P&G employee) P&G buys all employees, who want to attend, tickets to the ball game. I love this event! I try to go every year and they pay for the family to go too! Yay!

 

 DD and SIL brought Their God Son Mason-isn't he a cutie?

 It really was nice weather for the game. It had been rainy all day at our house but it was perfect in Cedar Rapids and a win for the Kernels too!

 Girlfriend-in-law and Uber Son had a great time too...goofy guy.....

It's always a great time with the family!
