It's Getting Closer....

 We always know when the holidays are getting closer, because the Annual Holiday Gift Arrives!! 

I'm very thankful that my former employer, P&G, provides a nice gift for all employees and retirees. 

There's always a nice selection of products, and this year it was really good I think! 

And there are always chocolate covered almonds. 
As well as a gift. This year it was a nice tote bag 

I'm Still In November!!!

Ok, so real fast, THe holiday gift box came! I love that even as a retiree, I still get the box!

There was a nice assortment of product.

And the gift was a charcutere board. Cute!

Dd and I tried out a new restaurant in the area, it's called Chicken Salad Chick. It was delicious!

Dilly even liked it, but he was not a fan of pickles today.

I went out and dug up the Canna bulbs. They are out in the garage waiting for spring.

I picked up Ben and we went to the Odd Mama's flea market in CR. We didn't buy a thing!, Then we went over to the Record Sale in Hiawatha.

I just laughed when we went in the door, there are all these guys flipping through box after box of record albums. 

I saw this little gem.

Now I think I'm done with November, December is coming right up!

Pastor Appreciation...

When Mom & me were on the shop-a-thon the other day I picked up this cute ceramic dish. She did too, she has some friends who will enjoy these when their birthdays come rolling along.Shhh don't tell them!!LOL  This week is Pastor Appreciation week and our church generally lavishes our pastor with chocolate & coffee, 2 of her favorite indulgences.

So I used the matchbook method to package some bits of Dove Chocolate.

I used my Slice to make the monograms & little birdies. Aren't they cute!

Slapped some cellophane wrap around that thing and TA DA! Cute gift.

The BEST Bridesmaid Ever!

I have to say, my daughter has the BEST bridesmaid in the world! Her pal Val just made her shower so special! Here's Val in the kitchen ready for guests to arrive. (Isn't she gorgeous!?)


She was a wonderful hostess and everyone had fun! Here are the Grandmas & Dannies' Great Aunt playing Dannie Trivia. Can you see the CUTE table centerpiece? It's one of a set of kitchen canisters that Val stuffed with little kitchen gadgets, she did a different one for each table!
















I'm glad this event is over, now it's on to altering the bride's dress & worrying over the weather!

Phew! Got it done in time!

A pal of mine from work is getting married soon and her bridal shower was today. SO I had to get busy and get a gift done. I made her this wall hanging. I printed photos from her wedding blog site onto fabric and made a quilted wall hanging out of them. I really like the background fabric with the black & white pictures.
I gotta add this edit...it took me pretty much all of my free time for about 5 days to get this baby done. It is pretty cool though. If you haven't ever printed on fabric it is very awesome. Give it a try.
