An Oldie, But Goodie

 So, I have this Roy Rogers fabric. I've had it for YEARS. I love Roy Rogers, he's King of the Cowboys and when I was a kid, he was all that and Trigger too!

So, after hanging on to this fabric for YEARS, I decided to sew it up. 

I used a really simple Villa Rosa Pattern, Fernanda. I've made it before, it's a good pattern. 

Of  course it was windy! 

I used some letover cowboy boot print that I used on a quilt or Dilly awhile back or the wide outer border. . 

And this pretty built in stitch on Freddie to quilt it.

The back is just one piece, or a change, and I am working through my stash!

I took the last little bits o Roy Rogers abric and made a couple o pillow cases! No scraps!

A Finish

 This little pile of fat quarters has been around since last year too. I actually made this quilt back in Februay.

But the weather has been so crazy I never got to go out and take photos of the finished quilt, so I never posted the sewing and spray basting pictures!

Here's the pattern I used. I like these little pattern cards from Villa Rose. They are easy to follow and usually make a smaller quilt, but I added a row to go a little bit bigger. 

I absolutely love this dark brown fabric with the navy blue flower print. 

Here it is outside getting spray basted, back in February, I think it snowed the next day!

And today was nice, but a little windy, but I need to get this one into the blog!

I tried the over the rail method like the fancy quilt people do....

It was a little windy, but nice and bright so you can see the true colors.

I pieced the back with that cute swimming ladies fabric. 

So that's another one done.
