Valentines With Aunt Peaches

No she's not my Aunt, she's a wonderful blogger, Here who organizes a valentine swap every year. I think this is my 3rd year...I'm always happy to see the valentines I get from other folks. So mine went in the mail today, here's a peek!

 I used some scraps,

 and some different textured paper,

 and made the envelopes out of calendar pages using my cool envelope maker tool. I actually made 3 valentines but I guess I didn't get a picture of the 3rd one!
Now I'll wait to see what I get in the mail from other folks! What fun!

Valentines In the Mail

So, remember awhile back I mentioned I was making valentines for a swap with other folks over at Aunt Peaches Blog?
Well, look what was in the mail!

What a fun swap!
I'm still waiting for a 3rd one to come in. But these were awesome! I sent mine to  Montana, Minnesota and Korea!
Oh and look I was at Theisen's and the baby chickens are in stock!

Valentines

I love Valentines. I love them so much, I joined the swap again this year over at  Aunt Peaches. No she's not related. Anyways, I got a little head start.

I need to make 3 for the swap, so I made them like postcards. I'll have to put them in a envelope to mail, but, aren't they nice! And I'll get 3 valentines back! YAY!

I was at Target a couple of weeks ago and they sure don't make paper valentines like they used to. There's hardly any to choose from and they're so tiny.  More space on the shelf is devoted to little made-in-china cheapo toys and valentines that have something attached like pencils, candy . And look at this...

They have an entire section for TEACHER valentine GIFTS! Really? Ya think every kid ought to spend five bucks on a teacher gift? Grrrr, maybe folks ahould be encouraged to give $5 to their teacher's classroom, maybe the kids wouldn't have to sell so many things during the year! Oopsy, that sounded bad didn't it. Well, I just find it hard to think that teachers are wishing for a box, mug, tin, carton, bag, or jar of chocolates from every darn student! OK I better move on...

Lots of chocolate. Yep, they sure don't make valentines like they used to.....

3 Valentines Part 2

Remember way back in January I posted  Here   about the 3 valentines I sent off to folks from over at  Aunt Peaches Site?
Well I got mine but forgot to post about them! I actually only got 2 back and here they are!

So pretty, I was so excited tp get mail that wasn't a bill or addressed to resident. I'll be looking for Aunt Peaches to match up trades for Valentines day next year!

3 Valentines

So I joined another swap. This one is over st Aunt Peaches....here.
All I have to do is make 3 cards, and mail them to random strangers-who also signed up to swap (hush, Dannie!) and some random strangers will mail me 3 valentines. (Hush Dannie!) See DD says I'm liable to have a serial killer mail me a bomb or something. Somehow I doubt there are a lot of serial bombers reading Aunt Peaches blog.
So don't you like superman flying a valentine across the map?! Yes! Nothing fancy coming from this stranger, that's for sure!
