Packing Christmas

So we had walking tacos at Christmas, and look what Pinterest showed me!!! Who knew there were walking desserts!?!!

Anyways, It's time to pack up the Christmas tree. 

Love, love, love these ornaments.

I ordered these ornament boxes from Amazon-I wanted to consolidate my vintage ornaments. 

Oh, how I love these vintage ornaments. 

I'm keeping the boxes......

because they are so neat!

But most of my boxes do not have the original ornaments in them so it's better, I think, to just secure the ornament.

This is one of my favorite ornaments. It's like brush bristles inside the glass ball.

In these cool boxes. They are made of plastic-like what folders are made of- and zip at the top and bottom. They have individual trays inside with cardboard dividers for each ornament. 
 And there we go, done for another year. 

I do like these boxes, I think I should find some acid free tissue for each square because the ornaments do bounce around in each of their squares. 

The boxes are not the kind you would want to stack a lot of things on top of, but I'll just keep them on the top of the stack!

It's Auction Time

So, DD and I decided to drive over to Inidianola, Iowa for an auction. We met my Mom & Dad there-he was looking at an anvil. There was A LOT of Stuff!

 Mom & DD were browsing-the auction place had most of the stuff on tables-but there was so much!

 DD won this stack of jadeite plates. I guess they're kind of unusual, and we got a good deal!

 See that wooden beer box? It's a Miller High Life beer box. I thought, well that's pretty cool since hubs is a Miller man. Let's see what that goes for.

 This guy paid $240 for that box! I was astounded! Dad got the anvil-I don't know how I managed to not get a picture of that...anyways, it was time to head out. We stopped for a bite to eat at the A&W.

 Look! This A&W in Indianola is old school! You call your order in from the booth!

And what do you get when you're at the A&W? A Root Beet float of course. And it's served in a glass mug too! Very fun!

 I got a big box of vintage Christmas ornaments at the auction-only $10! Look how cool this is! I can't wait for Christmas, so I can put this wreath up!

 I love these vintage ornaments!

 And several very cool toppers.

These pointy ones are just fabulous! I need to go buy another storage bin!

The Best Tree Ever...No Really

So you know how I always go with a theme for my tree these days... and you know how DD and I have been hitting auctions and yard sales all over the place for years. Well lookie here.

 All of these wonderful vintage ornaments are from that work! I love them soooo much!

 They are almost all glass and some are Shiny Brights and some are just cool as can be!

 Some have frosting on them,

 and they just have the best look to them all. Probably because they are made with something toxic from the 60's.

 Who knows, but I think we'll be fine for a few weeks! Oh isn't that pine cone one sweet!

 I can't remember the last time I had a multi color tree, but this is a winner. Thank goodness DD has some multi colored lights in the "storage Facility"...aka  her bedroom.

 I am sure pleased with how it turned out, I think I'll add some paper stars or paper chain as soon as I have a little time to make some.
