Merry New Year

 

This busy guy was here for the eve. We made a Costco run

And since a busy boy couldn't manage to leave the tree alone, 

We took it down, of course there was the helper, who though tthe bag of bows was there just for him!!

He tends to throw everything off the bench and then take up his position

These quilts are waiting to go to his Mommy's car/house.

Such a busy boy!

Finally NAP TIME!!!!!

After he left, I got busy and finished clue 6 for the Quiltville Mystery quilt.

And then at 1am on New Year's Day, I woke up sick. Thankfully after spending all day in bed or puking or pooping, I'm back in good shape today! Merry New Year!

Almost Christmas

I stitched up this Santa Panel just in time for Christmas decorating. 

I did entirely free motion quilting on Freddie. 

And the backing fabric is so cute! 

On a whim, I stopped by the Goodwill store and spotted this pretty Jadeite bowl! 

It's Pioneer Woman, I think, and it's not old, but DD will like it just fine I think!

I'll put it to good use for Christmas eve at Julie's house!

The tree is ready for the family to come over. Notice there are no candy canes or ornaments at the bottom of the tree....Dilly cleared them out!

I also go this little snowman panel quilted. It fits just right on the door. 

I loaded it on Freddie the long way, still had to roll it a little bit, but it went really fast!

I forgot to take pictures while it was loaded on there, but you can see the top leader is still attached here. 

It looks good on the front door, so that's another project done!

I took Dilly shopping the other day, when we were in DiIllards, they had this big Santa that was singing and dancing-he was enchanted!

Then home for a nap-he fell asleep on Grampa! awwwww

We've had him a few different days-always getting a candy cane.

And it was nice enough that we went outside to swing a little bit

And he always says HI to the big snowman. 

I think we're all ready for Christmas!

Christmas Prep

Isn't he just the cutest! 4 month old Dylan is such a charmer!

And Mommy is too!
 

Decorating is going on....I really go all out! TWO santa's this year!!

This is the new Santa, I got him at an auction a few months ago.

I got a new tree. Well It might be more of a pencil tree......I'm not too sure about this little guy.

But he decorated up pretty good....like Charlie Brown's tree.

On the 1st, it was Light Up Oxford in our little town. It's a chance for the local retailers and crafters to showcase-and sell-their merchandise. 

The photo booth was very pretty with snow machine making snow and beverages available!

Tree out of 4 kids isn't too bad, I sure missed Hailey in this photo op!

And of course a chance to see Santa!

And Sweet little Jaymie sang with the school kids. It was pretty darn cold out, but they did a great job!

Now I need to finish up my on line Christmas shopping.....and today is clue 3 in the mystery quilt along! I need to catch up!

Christmas Decorating 2022

So, I remember when we were kids, we'd make paper chains that would go all around the entire house. Now, as a grown-up, I have no ides how we stuck with that project for so long! I wanted paper chain for my tree this year-vintage ornaments, I thought would go together well...and it does! BUt, it took me a long time to make enough chain!

It looks really good on the tree though!

And Santa is checking his list on the front ramp. 

I'm still in love with these vintage ornaments. 

So many really gorgeous colors!

And paper chain! And I got a tree color that looks like woven seaweed-from Aldi, I set the tree on the old sled to give it a bit of height-this is my smallest tree, but since we are going on vacation soon, I didn't want to make myself more work with the bigger tree. 

I could have put more ornaments up, but...vacation is coming!

Loving the multi colored tiny lights on the tree this year too. 

 The ceramic tree is out now too!

And my favorite wreath. I kind of think it's getting a little bit tired looking, but what to do? Take it all apart and re assemble? Well, not this year!

Love these odd ball ornaments-before I had many vintage ornaments, I would just put the cool ones on this wreath. They still look great though!

And I brought out the big nativity this year. I think I need to find some ducks or chickens for it this year.

And hubs got decorated too! He got a new hat! Looks great honey!
