Still Getting Things Done

 

I did this today-Early Voting in the drive through line! It was kind of an odd thing to be voting in the car, but it went real smooth and there are lots of folks available to keep the line moving.

Glad to get my vote in. Now just waiting for the crazy campaign ads to get done!

These guys were hanging around here so I snapped a few pictures.

And it's that time of year again-time to get costumes ready for Halloween!

I've got fluff all over the house!

This year we are going to have two bears.

One big bear and one little bear.

For some reason Ringo is just crazy about these fuzzy costumes!

Aren't they just the cutest!

And I should mention that we got a new water faucet installed on the East side of the house. 

We had the plumber out and they got it done in a jiffy and for $430!

Catching Up

 SO I am just a little bit behind...you'll have that.
Anyways, I went and voted....

 And I broke the law...I always take a picture of my ballot.....and this time, I had a write in vote...It just seems wrong that the County Attorney has no one running against her, and she's been it for a long time...hang on Google....jeeze since 2006!. This guy I know would have made a great County Attorney. He doesn't know it, but there you have it, democracy in action. Maybe next year.

 And it's that time of year, rotate the yard equipment...lawn mower to the back of the garage, bring out my friend the snow blower. Hopefully, I won't need to use it any time soon.....

 But we did get a little dusting of snow earlier this month. Just enough for the dogs to be happy.

Voting and Crafting

So I voted yesterday-our little town isn't very motivated to fill city offices. We had a write in for the Mayor and a write in for council seats too. I wrote in my Uber Son's fiance. She only needed like 62 votes to win...oh well next year!!

Then I got home and fixed up one more bazaar item. My wonderful cousin also let me steal these cute sewing kits from her stash of stuff. I thought I'd doll them up a little bit.

 There, that's much cuter isn't it!

 These little sewing kits are from the dollar store and are actually pretty nice-there's a tiny pair of scissors, needles and thread and a box with safety pins and buttons i it. And a little tape measure and a thimble too. Not exactly top quality stuff, but it sure would be handy when you needed it!!

The fix it quick kit is ready to go to the church bazaar!

One More Thing to Like About Small Towns

There's no line waiting to vote at my voting place. Sure there's a steady stream of folks, but if there's a crowd you might need to wait for 4 other folks in line ahead of you.

So I'm done! BTW I voted NO on the new "Justice Center" for Johnson County.  Bunch of propaganda if I ever heard it.
