July Round Up!

Look I got new faucets for the bathroom. They look so nice! I bought these back in maybe January?, but my enthusiasm for the job waned. SO I called Ackerman's and they came and installed them for me! I have one ordered for the other bathroom too!

And I got this nice umbrella on Amazon Prime day for only $65! It's pretty huge, 10'! And it makes shade for this little guy!

I swear he has iron for knees!

I also did a free motion baby quilt on Freddie. 

Just the whole cloth. I wanted to run a little bit without the Quilt Path program because I went to a beginner class in Carroll at the APQS store. 

I didn't take many photos at the class, but the instructor Lauren Jackson, shared a lot of good information and provided a big paper handout.

It's a long drive to go to the class, but it was the one free class with the purchase of my Freddie. 

And I also completed half the state for the All Iowa Shop Hop! I got my passport mailed in yesterday. I hope I win a prize!

And Bean came over and hung out for a little while. 

Uncle Ben thinks Dilly should be walking already!

And he's good at getting the rocks out of the kid's mouth!

Since these pictures were taken, Dilly has started walking a few steps on his own.

I'm sure it's all because of Ben's encouragement!

I thought this was pretty cute, when Gramps pulled into the drive way, the boys all wait at the window for him to come in.

OK, now I guess we're all ready to start on August!!

Snow and Fun

 So, I thought the snow was done, but we got about 3 inches on Friday-funny thing, as soon as it stopped coming down it started melting. I didn't even need to get the snowblower out!

On Tuesday, it was a really noce day and the big music concert for the big mask kids over in Washington.

Hailey is over there on the right-I don't think I got a good view of her.....

But there's Hayden right front and center, where he didn't appear to sing one single note!

Anyways the choirs all did a fine job. 

On Saturday I had to babysit at 1, but that gave me enough time to go to the Annual Shelter House Book Sale!

There was a good crowd and I got a bag full of books for kids mostly as well as a few video games and puzzles.

And like I said, I had to baby sit for Dylan, look at this cute series......

Ben came over at the same time Dannie was picking up Dylan, so I wanted a picture.....

But Dylan was just waaay to interested in Uncle Ben to look my way!

Dylan and A Quilt Too!

I did a little bit of Illinois Shop Hopping.  I got a couple of kits and some little charm packs too. The one kit is cute, just right for little Dylan.

And here he is, DD stopped over to show him off a little bit.

I got the quilt put together-not the best written pattern I've ever had, but it still worked out OK.

That cute cowboy fabric is what sold me on it.

The pattern and kit was from a shop I stopped at in Illinois, Our Crafty Life. 

The kit had enough fabric, so that was good.

I wanted to try a flanged binding. SO I worked it up, and then realized it was essentially backwards! 

I didn't have any more of the blue fabric, so it is what it is.

A little cozy minky on the back and it's good to go.

For as many things as I did wrong, it still came out fine.
