November Busyness

November 10 was this guy's birthday. He asked for jeans for his birthday. SO I got him some jeans and also some long sleeved T shirts.

He was pretty happy with them I think! Drew turned 5! 

And that Spider Man hoodie sure was a winner. 

 It's that time of year too. I had to rotate the equipment out in the garage. Move the lawn mower back and bring the snow blower up front. And make room for this....Ben took it for a spin around the driveway.

And get the battery out of the mower to keep in the house for the winter....

It fits just right behind the laundry room door, so it's not underfoot.

Now that the time has changed for the winter-I don't like it-DD mentioned how dark it is in the drive way. So I Amazoned a solar powered light and got it hung up. I think it will be a problem in the summer months, because when the maple in the front yard has leaves, it will likely block the solar collector. But for now it's pretty helpful.

And the Corporate gift arrived too! Even us retirees get the Holiday Box!

Lots of different products and a new backpack. I think that makes 3 through the years.

And an environmentally friendly lunch kit with a water bottle.

And the price of gas is not too bad, $2.85 at Costco the other day.

I'm getting caught up with things, it's been a struggle but I'll get you up to date!

The Box Is Here!

 As my calendar says it's the last day of November and of course, the arrival of THE BOX, all means it's almost time to get the Christmas tree out! I'm planning a great one this year!

 My employer #pgemployee (hello social media guidelines)-the corporate portion- sends us a lovely gift this time of year every year. It always includes a selection of products and a gift, it was a backpack this year, and chocolate covered almonds! Way back in the day, it used to include fruit and a canned ham. Oh how times change.

 Anyway this is one of the products that came in my box. I had not seen this before! I googled it and it comes in Olay body wash, and also in Old Spice varieties in addition to the Ivory one I got. WOW! I LOVE this! I am not a fan of original Ivory soap-it's not creamy enough to suit me. But this scrubber-WOW!

 The soap is kind of soft and is packed in this little two sided wash/scrub pouch. Kind of like soap-on-a-rope!!The blue side exfoliates-Oh is it nice! LOVE IT!  And it's really nice Ivory soap-creamy and it makes my skin feel soft and not dry.

 And as much as I like liquid soap, I never use it because I HATE that plastic poof scrubber thing that you really need to use to get the full benefit. SO this is 100 times better than washing with that poofy thing. The white side is a non woven fabric, and the blue side is kind of plastic-ish fabric-nothing like the poofy thing though-thank goodness! I think I'll get another one of these in the Olay variety. Google tells me it costs $6.99 at Target-so about the same a bars of soap I think.

 And I'm working on a quilt-a Pokemon quilt for Christmas for the youngest grand. We'll see how this comes out.

It's official!

Yes, it's official! The P&G Holiday box has arrived and that means it's officially the holiday season! YAY!

 All employees (like me) at Procter & Gamble (#PGEMP) get a holiday gift box. Let's see what it is this year! In past years we've gotten things like throw blankets, chip & dip tray, Pyrex cookware-travel pans, luggage, and my LEAST favorite ever- an Ice Bucket.

 Oh look another piece of luggage, a tote bag! 

 Oh good, I love getting a Christmas card from a multi-millionaire......Thanks A.G.

 well looks like they want us to be healthy again this year...a water bottle, some healthy recipe cards, and P&G earbuds......

 Oh and some product...that's always appreciated.....

 Well it really is feeling like Christmas time around here.

 I got a new bag and look.....Santa is out front to great me every day!!!

 And the one thing you always KNOW will be in the box...World Famous chocolate covered almonds.
