Oh I almost forgot...

We also went to Ted Drewes. They were on the Food Network show, The Best Thing I ever Ate  and are  famous as the best frozen custard, and also as a  place on old Route 66.  There was quite a crowd lined up as the sun went down, but they are fast servers and also have a lot of windows!

And I agree! It was the best ice Cream..Oh I mean frozen custard! I really liked it a lot!
And now look! I finished the Retro Flowers Quilt-babysize!!

All washed and wrinkled and ready to go. It came out better than I thought it would. I'm sure baby Zavonah will like it!

The Sewing Continues

It's pretty slow going on the retro flower quilt blocks. I think it will go faster now that I have the 1st ones done. I struggle with the patterns directions sometimes.

More contrast would be better in this one I think.

Starti9ng on the 3rd one now. I am in love with this cute pony fabric! I got it a Peg's Common Threads Quilt Shop, and it's called Painted Pony from Studio E Fabrics. THis photo doesn't really show it's pretty green color well though. Sewing on!

Let the Quilts Begin

Seems like everyone we know is having a baby this year! I am just getting started on the 1st girls quilt. I downloaded the pattern for

Retro Flowers Quilt
and am just getting going on it. I struggled a little bit with the method for cutting but it's coming along now! I'm planning to use fewer blocks to make it a more baby friendly size. I figure if I post about it I am required to finish it in a timely fashion!
