Done, Done, Done

Halloween was a great success! I only had one coatume to make this year-squirtle-it's a Pokemon. And she came out pretty cute I gotta say-cute kid too though, right?

The back and the front-her Mom said she loved it! Good deal!
Now on to the upcoming church bazaar, supper & auction preparations! I have almost nothing done for any o fit. I have recruited pie bakers, ordered ham, arranged auction donations and gone begging for stuff for the supper Phew!
And I got this cute baby blanket done-fast and easy pretty much anyways.

I got the cute Micheal Miller llama fabric when were went to Minneapolis the first time and Mom gave me a chunk of Minkie type fleece that I used for the back. I didn't put any batting inthe middle just cotton and minkie and a regular old quilting meander.
Then I rounded the corners and serged the edges
Then turned the edges to the front! TA DA!
Pretty cute blanket and done in a few hours.

Thursday All Ready?!

So let's see, I better catch up!. Thankfully the church supper, bazaar & Auction is over! YAY! Very good results this year. right about $3850, only slightly less than last year.
The snowman table runner went home with someone else.YAY!
These quilts that the ladies group of hand quilters had for sale went for the asking price...$150 for the two bed size and $100 for the smaller stained glass pattern quilt. The bed size quilts are both cheater quilts, but all hand quilted.
These auction items are all sold! And almost all of these chairs and tables are put away again! Phew!
These hams have been eaten and auctioned off too! We sold one of them for $50!YAY!!!!
Hubs and I stopped over to the Stringtown grocery the other day too. We hadn't been over since they moved next door to their old location into a new larger building.
Stringtown is operated by the folks in the Amish community near Kalona , Iowa. They sell bulk food stuffs repackaged into various manageable sizes.
And they also sell some unique items that you don't find anywhere else.
The new store is really spacious! Look at these beautiful, colorful squash and gourds in the bins out front.
And I also got a swap box in the mail. One of my long time website forums for craftiness has several swaps throughout the year and this time it's the RAK box swap; The box is stuffed with craft supplies and things that you are willing to part with then it's sent on to the next person who takes what they want and adds some stuff and sends it on to the next person. and so on.
I took out these two cute little sewing panel cutouts, and some decorative cording trim. Now I need to add a few things and send it on.
Now I'm all caught up!

Halloween is Gone Thanksgiving is Coming

So trick or treating on the church steps was pretty fun. We had over 100 kids come by. But we still had some candy left over. So now it will magically turn into Thanksgiving treats!
I printed out this cute rhyme written by my pal over Here.
I printed it on fall-ish colored paper then punched it out with my little scallop punch.
Then I used my BIG circle punch to punch out cute printed paper. I folded it in half and ....
stapled the folded circle to the top of the little bags of "thanksgiving treats"
Then I used double stick tape to adhere the rhyme to the top of the "Thanksgiving Treat".

There! All done. Ready to go to the bazaar on the 17th!

Dollie Diapers

Aren't these cute?

I got the pattern I started with here
skip to my lou
then I enlarged the pattern a bit so the diaper will fit my build-a-bear and DD's old baby doll. I made these with one layer of felt and then the regular scraps of cotton print fabric.

Dollie Diapers for the bazaar. I hope they sell well!
