I'm getting the hang of this thing...

I used my fuel saver points over the weekend. I paid 3.02/gallon. Not bad. I sure wish those points would stay good for longer though.

I'm making progress with those HSTs. I like this layout, so I'm going with it!

Look at this sturdy rose bush that is going crazy in the back yard. Those bud things are HUGE!

Now I really have to get busy and finish sewing that HST quilt together!

HSTs

So, half square triangles. I have made a few in the past, and now I'm making more.

The picture doesn't do the solid yellow fabric justice at all. It is a VERY bright yellow. And it is left over from the pillowcase event. So now it is turning into a quilt for the church auction/bazaar.

I'm using up some old scraps, sometimes I think these scraps multiply when no one is looking! I thought I used up all of that little fish print, but there it is again!  Anyways, I'm using the Fons & Porter method for HSTs. They show how to do it here.

I like this better than the Missouri Star Quilt Company method,which ends up with bias edges on all of the squares. Only a few dozen more to go!
