Busy! Busy! Busy!

 This guy has been spending quite a bit of time here.

For some reason he thinks it's fun to take his shirt off. 

I'm way behind on the mystery quilt along too!

But I've got the center blocks almost assembled.

DD has been making some changes-they had to move out of their rental house, soooo, they've moved here....

The kitchen is kind of small, but adequate. Remember it's had to find a place to rent that allows dogs, so we bought the mobile home and it'll just be the lot rent to be paid. 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, so it'll do just fine. 

This guy isn't really going to care one way or the other!

February Round Up

I've been working on this little cutie.

I saw a pattern on Pinterest that used a tree fabric with houses, and thought it was a great idea, especially since I've had this bit of Michael Miller tree fabric for a really long time.

I like the way it's comignm along.

There was the I-80 One Stop Shop a week ago, so DD and I loaded up and went out there.

She really liked these hero fabrics.

And such a cute quilt too!

And such a cutie holding the quilt too!

Lots to see at the sale.

I really liked this fabric line.

And of course the Nolting folks were there.  Not quite ready to pull the trigger on that big of a purchase just yet. But it's fun to look and test drive new cars...ereeerr, I mean long arm machines.

 

We Got the Power & Merry Christmas

So, back in May Hubs made the final decision to get a whole house back up generator. He made the arrangements with a local electrical company to come and install this Kohler Unit. They ordered it and we settled in to wait,......and wait.......and wait.

Finally the week before Christmas, they completed installation. It was way more complicated than any of us expected. Mainly because they have only certain folks that do each part of the installation. One guy came and laid in the pad for the unit to sit on, then a few weeks later a guy came and ran piping for the power unit portion. Then a few weeks later the gas company came and installed a new, bigger meter-which was on back order. Then a few weeks later a guy came to inspect it all, then a week or so later a guy came to do the final set up and test run it.

Anyways, it's all done. If we have a storm and the power goes out, then the unit will kick in and we can continue to operate the house the same as always.

We had a nice Christmas Eve family get together at Julie's. Lots of good stuff to eat with soup.

Caitlyn pointed out that it's all adults this year. 

Hubs made a delicious vegetable beef soup and Julie served minestrone soup from Olive Garden.

It was unusually warm this year, about 50 degrees!!

We had the gift exchange, this year's was something edible. A good variety of stuff was gifted!

Julie has Grandma's ceramic Christmas tree and it's still looking as beautiful as ever.

And I haven't posted a picture of the ornament wreath this year so here it is.  Merry Christmas! 

What Cha Been Doin'?

Oh not too much, Googling china and silverware values. My dear old friend has moved to an apartment and needs to clear out her 100 years of stuff so she can sell her house.

 SO I've been packing stuff,

 And selling stuff, and uncovering stuff,

 and hauling stuff to the Salvation Army store,

 and selling an anvil to my Dad,

 and looking for some one who wants a cream separator,

and selling some more stuff,

 all so this can happen

I still have some stuff to unload from the storage sheds in the back yard, but I think maybe one more big day will do the trick...I hope!
