Updated!

 So, I was pretty impressed with the new toilets that DD had in their old home. SO I decided to update our toilets.

I shopped around and googled a lot. 

And I decided I liked this one the best. Watch this video......

Pretty amazing! I went to Menards and picked up two of them. They are heavy, but they both fit in the back of my Tucson!

Then we had Ackerman Plumbing come and install them on Monday! They also installed new shut off valves, so there was a little bit extra in the bill. 

Here it is all installed in the Men's Room. Total bill from Ackerman's was $619.00  And Menards was $485.00 for both toilets. So all together it was $1104.00. Worth every penny I think!

And in the Ladies Room. I gotta say the elongated bowl and the higher seat are just wonderful! The toilet came with the seat-it's a quiet close-YAY- too. And that flush is a wonder! Hubs really likes the taller height too!

House Stuff

 SO, I had Ackerman's Plumbing come over and put in the new faucet in the other bathroom-so all the bathroom faucets match! And we joined their "club" that comes and does an inspection every so often.

They came and put in a new anode rod in the water heater. I had to move A LOT of Christmas boxes for them to get in there!

 posted about this nice umbrella, I love it! But it arrived with a broken crank handle. I contacted the company via Amazon and you won't believe this.....

We were at the mall and bought Dilly his birthday bear at build a bear-they have a deal you get your bear for the price of your birthday.

This isn't his bear, but his bear needed a t shirt-they were out of birthday shirts-, so I used my bear to figure out the correct size.

Looks good-I just used some old t shirts and cut them up! 

And the little guy  got some shoes for the first time! Here he is trying on sandals-he curls up his toes-we ended up getting shoes at Target and a 2nd pair at Dillards. Baby's first shoes indeed!

What A Drip!

I have a drip under my ladies room sink. 

 Look at that-the darn fitting is broken! How the heck do these things happen?  Off to the hardware store I go! Hopefully in one trip....hahahaha so funny, one trip, hahahah trip two! Lesson learned-- two sizes for drains-1 1/4" for bathrooms and 1 1/2" for kitchens.

 Here we go, I got one one these nifty strap wrenches-worked great to loosen the fitting that was probably glued or something.

 Of course, when I made my 2nd trip to the hardware store they didn't have JUST the part I needed, noooo, but they had this bag-o-parts that had one little fitting that I did need. FINE! Oddly enough it was only 15 cents difference in price-weird. Slap that baby back together-darn still a drip...add that handy secret weapon-teflon tape to the rescue!!

 TA-DA! Done! No drip! I'll let it think about what it's done over night to make sure no dripping is happening! Happy New Year!! Drip Free in 2016!!
