Project Finishes!!

 SO these cornhole boards are ready to get a shiny finish. I bought polyurethane in gloss finish and it says to put on 3 coats and sand in between, OK!

Here we go, I sanded the tops where I wood burned the design to smooth out any bumps. Then I wiped all the dust away with a tack cloth. then started slathering the poly on!

While I'm waiting for the coat to dry, I'm getting the Yahtzee paper ready. I made the big wooden dice for the yard game awhile back.....Here on my blog.
So I think we'll need jumbo sized Yahtzee score cards too. These tablets of paper are about 18'X 24" or something like that. I downloaded a scorecard on line so I would make it correctly. Bob helped me draw the lines
...yeah, thanks loads....

 Anyways, then I just wrote in the scoring information and then I did it ten times...not all at once! I had coats of polyurethane to sand and apply in between times!

 Another coat on.....

 And look the Yahtzee score sheets fit perfectly on the sign boards I made last year!

Ready to go for the yard game/cocktail time at that upcoming wedding.

And one other wedding related project is complete. This is the sign that the little grey dressed girls will be carrying.

What A Nice Weekend

 SO have you stopped by Tweaked Too in Oxford , Iowa? It's the cutest little shop. Part antiques, part crafty-ness, part imported decor. All rolled into a great old building!

And if that wasn't enough I only paid 1.49/gallon for gas at Costco on Sunday!

 I also got a woodburning tool so I could make the dots on my rustic yard yahtzee dice!

 Look how cool this is! I think we had a tool like this when we were kids-I can't imagine what our grown ups were thinking! This thing gets HOT!

 They are almost all done. I love the imperfect perfect look of these! Hubs thinks I'm crazy-but look here....

I'll have to post again when we play a game in the yard when the weather is a little bit better!

Warmer weather relief!

 Look there was only this little bit of snow left on the driveway this morning-North side of course!

 SO later I stopped in the garage to take apart a pallet. I've been thinking about these wooden blocks for awhile now. I saw Yard Yahtzee on Pinterest and I think I want to make some Yahtzee dice from these cubes.

 I sanded them and now I think I want a wood burner. I'm going to have to go to town to get one I guess.

SO I also finished the card box. I'm so pleased with the way this turned out. I spray painted the whole thing with flat white paint.

 And the bottom too, I'm really a bad spray painter. The can says no drips...ha!

 Then I printed out some snapshots to put in the frames

 I really love this project!...Did I already mention that?

 Anyways, it's all done ready for the big day in August!
