Time To Move It

 It's that time of year again, roll up the heat track mats, it was a little rainy so I had to let them dry.

Move the snowblower back into the rear of the garage and bring out the lawn mower. And heave out  a bunch of junk that accumulates through the winter.

Using up some bears, foxes and llamas oh my!

I'm making really good progress on using up my excessive stash. Just a few more projects ought to get me under control...and ready for ther upcoming All iowa Shop Hop!

And There's More!!

So As usual, there's more.....click this link to hear This noise in the furnace . So I called our pals at Affordable Heating and Cooling. They installed this nice Lennox furnace for us back in 2018. 

I sent that video to the guy who was coming to fix it and he said it sounds like a bearing. I asked if he'd have parts on had to fix it and he said, it depends. He came and said it's your INDUCER. 

And $688 later our furnace is once again quiet and running smoothly. And I'm glad it is! We're expecting below zero wind chills today! Even the heat mats couldn't keep up with the snow we got!

I spent the morning with the snow blower on Wednesday. That's enough of that stuff I hope!!

And one last thing-I got a new chair mat for my rolling sewing chair. It's glass! My old acrylic mat was all cracked up and broken up so I splurged and got a fancy tempered glass mat. That's all for today....brrrr, I'm staying in today!

Holy Cow-It's December!!

 

Well I guess I better catch up then. I went to Des Moines to the flea market there. I walked in the door and saw this guy.....

I was just minutes too late! I coulda had that green tin basket!

It was a huge flea market at the varied industries building. 

There were a few pieces if green glass, but not good prices.

SO many action figures, I've never seen so many tubs of action figures!

Again nice green glass, but too pricey for me.

And these cool things. This crafty person turns things into radios. Like suitcases, or cabinets or  boxes. 

So that was a fun day, I bought a few Christmas ornaments and of course stopped at Tasty Taco!

And of course this little guy has been around a little bit.

Look at that proud face-I can climb on the chair and the table and EVERYWHERE!!!!

I got an invite to the customer appreciation event at the local Fin & Feather. I'd never been to one, but there are prizes and discounts. so I went.

Look at the line to get in! All the way around the building!

That chalkboard in background is the BI Board with the winning prize numbers.

They provided adult beverages and snacks! I did not buy this flannel shirt......

But here's one I did buy...

Hub's birthday was on Thanksgiving, and I got this flannel shirt jacket for him. 

And I got the garage rearranged. Move the lawn mower to the back, the snow blower to the front and tuck in the Orca motorcycle for the winter. 

Dylan figured out how to make this toy work too!

He's so smart! ANd hubs made me Belgian waffles on a waffle maker that Mom "found" in her cupboard. 

I thought I'd just move it to a new home via the Salvation Army, but Hubs said, wait a minute.....

And they were delicious waffles!

November Busyness

November 10 was this guy's birthday. He asked for jeans for his birthday. SO I got him some jeans and also some long sleeved T shirts.

He was pretty happy with them I think! Drew turned 5! 

And that Spider Man hoodie sure was a winner. 

 It's that time of year too. I had to rotate the equipment out in the garage. Move the lawn mower back and bring the snow blower up front. And make room for this....Ben took it for a spin around the driveway.

And get the battery out of the mower to keep in the house for the winter....

It fits just right behind the laundry room door, so it's not underfoot.

Now that the time has changed for the winter-I don't like it-DD mentioned how dark it is in the drive way. So I Amazoned a solar powered light and got it hung up. I think it will be a problem in the summer months, because when the maple in the front yard has leaves, it will likely block the solar collector. But for now it's pretty helpful.

And the Corporate gift arrived too! Even us retirees get the Holiday Box!

Lots of different products and a new backpack. I think that makes 3 through the years.

And an environmentally friendly lunch kit with a water bottle.

And the price of gas is not too bad, $2.85 at Costco the other day.

I'm getting caught up with things, it's been a struggle but I'll get you up to date!

It's January

I was so happy when both of our kids decided to tag along to Costco and also Aldi.

We all needed some stuff to get stocked up for the new year! We got pretty big snow Friday.

I had to work Friday night, so I went ahead and snow blowed the driveway even though it was still snowing because I figured I wouldn't be able to get back in the driveway in the morning if I didn't. 

I even made a little path to the hydrant next door. I guess firefighters like that.

Making more progress on the Mystery quilt too. 

I had decided to use the darker green for the last color in the mystery, but then I got this lighter green.....

I dunno, I can't decide.

The last clue came out Friday so I think I'll decide when I get to looking at it a little better.
