Out and About to New Aldi and MCR

So, I was noticing that the new Aldi in North Liberty is coming right along!

I popped over to Bella Sala Event Center for the Makers market a couple weeks ago, it was disappointing. Mostly boutique clothing folks. 

Have you noticed the trend towards boutique clothing? Small shops with high priced clothing of , to me at least, dubious quality.  You know it must have been a bust, if I came out without buying anything for Dilly!
 

Low and behold the New Aldi opened on the 2nd! It was pouring rain so I didn't go for the line to win a gift card.

The store is nice-I did get a free bag and a quarter keeper!

Pretty much a basic Aldi, with a slightly different arrangement. The floors are pretty!

And I drove over to visit with my cousin Robin (MCR). She's moving into a new apartment! The area her building is in is really nice, all new area of homes and businesses-restaurants, a bowling alley, Hy Vee and just about everything you could need is within a few blocks.

She just had a few things to move in, at this time, but more is coming!

And the living room area adjoining. There's a nice little balcony out the door to the right.

The building she's in is really pretty-all new! This is the front foyer. There's a library and gathering places for residents to hang out or meet. It also has a pool!

Last One

This little caterpillar is the last one of my darling cousin's projects.

It's very different.

 Muted, earthtone colors, and  much smaller-actually a baby size quilt.

Here it is all stuck up on the garage door.

That little face came out pretty cute. I don't have a lot of confidence in my applique skills, but this went really well!

So That's the end of the projects! 

I dropped these all off at Mom & Dad's house for pick up at her convenience. 

Shopping & Element Wood Fire Pizza

So we ran some errands and did a little shopping while we were in Minneapolis. We stopped at a couple of uniform shops looking for the ugly green scrub tops that DD is being required to have for her work. One shop had a nice assortment so we got pants there and I saw this sign in the window...It says 

Always Be Yourself UNLESS you can be Batman then you should always be Batman. HAHAHA!

Made me laugh!!

 Anyways, then we traveled to another uniform shop-and WOW they had EVERYTHING anyone could want! Did I already mention how nice it is to have a person who already knows where to go and the best ways to travel around Minneapolis? It is a wonderful thing!

Anyhow, this shop had a ton of stuff and we got several ugly tops and pants and a pair of shoes too!

 Then it was time for lunch...or did we have lunch first...whatever!

 

 

 It's a wonderful thing when the person driving knows the way to go! None of us had ever been to Element Wood Fire Pizza before so it was a total surprise for all of us! Here's the Link for Element Pizza's webpage.

What a cozy little place for lunch! Lovely wood tables and a rustic cabin feeling. There is also a patio so you could eat outside too. We love air conditioning......

Stop at the counter and order from the huge menu of pizza choices. one size fits all! And you can watch the pizza bake in the wood fire oven too!

 MMMM- I ordered the Hawaiian with basil.  Look at that! The crust was perfect, crispy and light and the sauce was so good. I loved this pizza.

 My dining partners.....I love them so much too!

 And pizza for everyone, look at all the toppings. Pizza is delivered to your table and the folks there were very nice-smiles all around! How nice to have service with a smile!
