Tax Time

I think I have a paper cut from shuffling paper around to get ready for Tax time!
But TA DA ! It's all bundled up and ready to visit our tax guy Edward. I'd do it myself, but we have a 1099LTC and it's not supported on any on line forms that I tried. So for the last few years Edward has been our guy.
Poor shredder, it's packed full...yes I keep more paper than I need to I guess. But by golly, I got the things I need! Happy day, now for some do nothing time!!YAY for Friday!

Card Swap

I joined a monthly card swap...I doubt I'll do it every month, but I thought I'd give it a try.
Here's the card I made. I needed 12 cards to send to 12 different people and then I'll receive 12 cards too.
The sign up instructions say "have fun using up your scarp paper so you can buy more." I could likely make a thousand cards before I needed to buy more!LOL!
I used photos cut from a lovely calendar that I got last year-and every year- from my wonderful cousin Robin. I cut the pictures to fit, then cut the little bird with my Slice machine.
Then I made envelopes out of old atlas pages. I don't think I'll ever run out of Atlas pages! I do love them!
There, all done and 12 cards in the mail. Now we'll see what I get in return!

What A Great Idea!

Check this out! I was inspired by sewing coloring book pages together....

See there was this dinosaur work book that was with the coloring books, and it was pretty colored up, but there were some parts that weren't. A little matching game, ad some counting cards. so I thought, maybe I could laminate the cards and they would go in an activity bag. Then I thought well they need an envelope to keep them together,so I thought,(lotta thinkin' goin' on here!) OK laminate an envelope. BUT! Look I used another book page and laminated it then SEWED it!!!!!
Seriously-I sewed laminated paper! How cool is that??!!
See another page, this one is just open at the top-no flap, it's counting cards only to 5.
Bob was helping.
Such a pretty kitty. And I'm sure he's impressed with my idea!!

Now I have Time for this Wreath

I saw this cute wreath, here   Sandy's Space,  and wanted to try it out, I can do origami, bet ya didn't know that!  So to the book I went! Yes, good old book! Cut out the 6" squares and went to town.
Looks pretty good. Now that I know how I can make some next Christmas...maybe even out of regular paper!LOL!
It's a nice 3D effect I think. I also think if you folded it without the valley, it would lay flat for mailing!

Thank You Too Honey!

So DD called and asked if I could make her a Thank You card. I said sure when do you need it? Of course, you know what she said. So I dried off my dish pan hands and sliced up some paper.
Cute Huh?

Why yes indeed it is!
So then she came over and I said so who's the card for I hope it's not a man. And you know what she said!!  So off I go to slice up some more paper....

Cute too, huh? and in a man sort of way!
I love that printed thank you paper, alas it's from Reminisce and they no longer exist.....deep sigh....

Amy Butler Cards

Kind of a mess here huh. But dd needed some thank yous for folks who come over to her clinic to help out.

I made 9-I think and I like the way they came out. I've had this Amy Butler paper around for awhile and would like to use it up. I'm kinda tired of seeing it.

I had a package of dye cut shapes that coordinate so I used them for embellishing along with some grosgrain ribbon on a few.

How to know when to go to Dannie's wedding

First you have your favorite scrapbook store cut about 100 little die cuts of bride & groom names. That would be after you try to find enough paper in the same color.

Then you print about a hundred blue cards with the information and stick a nice 1/4" brown stripe on each and every one of those cards.......

Then fold about a hundred brown card slide covers and tie about a hundred blue bow knots........
Then stick on the die cut names about a hundred times and slide it all together.
Hey look I'm all done already!!NOT!!!!
