Less Pink

Remember this cute little book case? I got it for $1.

Well I got busy and started sanding the pink away. I'm planning to paint it so I won't strip all the paint off.

I'm pretty sure it has at least 3 coats of paint on it. A really nice shade of green, then a coat of white and another coat of white-ish and then pink.

I filled a couple of little dents with wood filler and hopefully will get the primer on it before the weekend.

Painting Complete...mostly

Did I mention that I hate painting? Yeah, I figured you had heard it before.

But lookie here, it was too cold to mess around out in the garage on Friday, so I waited until today to paint my ladder shelf.

 

 I put on the 2nd coat and we'll see if I need to do any more to it. I'm sooo ready to be done with this project!

DIY Time

I'm working on Uber Son's Room. I'm spackling little holes in the wall before painting it a nice gray color. I matched this palette... 

and chose the color called Rain for this bedroom.

 Sand and Spackle and vacuum the dust-there's a real art to this stuff! Now just how many push pin holes do you suppose a teenage boy could have created in a few years?

So many, Oh my goodness, sooo many.

 Like this many... and when you think you have them all pulled out and collected safely....

You find a couple more in the carpet or somewhere lurking. I'm almost done, now to the "fun" painting later this week.
