Snow! Snow! Snow!

 

We got the first snow right after Thanksgiving and it seems like we go a few days of nice weather and then more snow.

Ringo likes it well enough!

And I'm sure glad I got the heat track mats out when I did! 

This little guy wasn't quite ready for the first snow

He didn't bring his snow boots and he didn't pack his snow pants and hat. Luckily, I had one of ben's old hats, and some littler knit gloves and he had his hiker shoes, so it wasn't terrible. 

Here's what he does.....

Goes out and eats snow.

I keep telling him he's not a dog, but still, he loves to eat snow. Watch for that yellow snow though Dilly Boy!

And don't call DHS on me either-he always pops out the door without a coat on......and yesterday it was in PJs and slippers!

It was only about 20degrees out, but he wanted to go out so he took off FAST! Well at least he had Grampa's hat on!!LOL!

I had to chase him around to the back of the house before I caught up to him!

There we go, all outfitted correctly!

And There's More!!

So As usual, there's more.....click this link to hear This noise in the furnace . So I called our pals at Affordable Heating and Cooling. They installed this nice Lennox furnace for us back in 2018. 

I sent that video to the guy who was coming to fix it and he said it sounds like a bearing. I asked if he'd have parts on had to fix it and he said, it depends. He came and said it's your INDUCER. 

And $688 later our furnace is once again quiet and running smoothly. And I'm glad it is! We're expecting below zero wind chills today! Even the heat mats couldn't keep up with the snow we got!

I spent the morning with the snow blower on Wednesday. That's enough of that stuff I hope!!

And one last thing-I got a new chair mat for my rolling sewing chair. It's glass! My old acrylic mat was all cracked up and broken up so I splurged and got a fancy tempered glass mat. That's all for today....brrrr, I'm staying in today!

Snow and Fun

 So, I thought the snow was done, but we got about 3 inches on Friday-funny thing, as soon as it stopped coming down it started melting. I didn't even need to get the snowblower out!

On Tuesday, it was a really noce day and the big music concert for the big mask kids over in Washington.

Hailey is over there on the right-I don't think I got a good view of her.....

But there's Hayden right front and center, where he didn't appear to sing one single note!

Anyways the choirs all did a fine job. 

On Saturday I had to babysit at 1, but that gave me enough time to go to the Annual Shelter House Book Sale!

There was a good crowd and I got a bag full of books for kids mostly as well as a few video games and puzzles.

And like I said, I had to baby sit for Dylan, look at this cute series......

Ben came over at the same time Dannie was picking up Dylan, so I wanted a picture.....

But Dylan was just waaay to interested in Uncle Ben to look my way!

Here We Are Now

 So here's where I have been.....

January has dumped a lot of snow on us!

It's so pretty....see Ringo-he's belly deep!

We got about 10-11" I snow blowed the driveway, then we got about 4 more inches so out I go again. It was so frigid, something like -30 windchill.

We babysat for these TWO!

Yummy kid's lunch-hot dog and gold fish crackers! 

Then more snow......

Iris is sure not the brightest kitty in the litter.....

Ringo thinks he's help[ing shovel snow...HA!

And Bob assumes the proper position for snowy weather.

Iris has gotten smarter-inside when there's snow deeper than she is tall!

And here we are now! the snow is melting and it's above 30degrees! YAY!
