Last weekend was the Shelter House Book Sale. It was a really BIG sale this year, since it was cancelled last year...covid ya know.
SO many books! And puzzles and records and movies too!
Going to a book sale is always a wonderful thing I think. This one is for a good cause, Shelter House, which helps folks in crisis to find homes.
I got some video games and a few puzzles for Bean.
I got a cookbook for Hubs,
and look what I got! A copy of Lori Holt's Spelling Bee quilt book! It's a $35 book! For $3
A very good haul from the book sale. And here's the finish for this embroidered star quilt. I had been trying to make up my mind about what to do with the borders, but jeepers...a year later?!?!I just did a few swooshey free motion ribbon0ish passes and called it a day!
See where I used a washable Crayola Marker to mark the lines I wanted to stitch? I was a little bit worried if they would really wash out.
Well they did, see? Before....
I'm so glad to have this quilt finished. I started it before COVID! It's been taunting me from the desk for a long time!
