New Quilt Finish

Yeah, maybe the "Lawmakers" better work on their own education.

Anyways, I got this pretty little number done this weekend.

I spray basted it out on the garage door as usual-it was a nice day!
This fabric is from last years All Iowa Shop Hop, and since this year's hop is coming up, I feel pressured to use it up so I can get this years fabric guilt free!
Just a really fast use of the panel print.
I really like the red borders.
So I thought I'd try some nice straight line grid work this time.

I used the Crayola washable marker to mark all the diagonal lines 5" apart.
I like this look!
And I chose to use aqua/turquoise colored thread, I kind of want the stitching to show a little bit.
And here it is, all washed, still wet-I wanted to make sure the marker washed out!
I just ran it through a cold water wash with a Tide pod and ...NO more marker!

Here it is all died and ready to cuddle.
I am really tired of this print-I love the colors, but the snow scene makes me tired.
BUt it's done now, so in a month or so when the new shop hop fabric comes along, I will be guilt-free!
Oh and here's the back. I started out to make it a row by row kind of quilt, but I didn't like these cute tulip blocks iin a row-so onto the back they went!
The fabric designer-Amanda Murphy- of the shop hop fabric also had more designs to match and they went on the back too. I don't want to see them any more either!
Done until the next one!
