Serging Into the New Month

Wow I can't believe it's the 31st...already! So, there was a post on the Buy Nothing group page saying they had to clear out an old farm house, so I stopped by to see what they had. Not a lot when I got there...but some books and this bookcase.

It's in very good condition, and making itself useful in the sewing area
Our little kitty, Iris, made a mess.......I no longer have a cabbage ceramic dish.

I went on a little shopping spree with my Mom, we got her a new, easier to use serger, from the Sewing center.
And I brought this beast home with me. SO we traded, due to the old faithful Bernina was not repairable, a new part and the cost of the repair would run over $200.  We got Mom the Janome 2000D, it has air treading and does coverstitch, so does everything Mom wanted it to do.
I decided to trade in the Triumph. I went up to the shop we purchased it from, and narrowed it down to two models.
I was torn between the Babylock Accolade with auto tension and
the Bernette 68 with a free arm. I struggled with the decision.....both do pretty much the same tasks, and both work really well, but I finally settled on the Bernette68.
I love it so far!
Look at that 3 needle cover stitch.......
And the 2 needle cover stitch........
And the rolled hem and the 4 thread overlock.......
and the narrow rolled hem and the 3 thread overlock,
And it makes a nice stitch on both wovens and knits.
I need to find a project now that I've run it through it's stitches.
