It's Summer in Iowa

On July 28 we had RAGBRAI come through town.
It was nearly 100 degrees, but those hardy souls were peddling on!
They estimated about 40000 bicyclists were participating this year.
We had front row seats, since the route went right by our house. It started out with a trickle around 9am, and continued to peddle by until about 6pm. There were so many different kinds of bikes, and the choice of how to travel was just really something to see.

I finished this Halloween quilt!
I got the kit on the All Iowa Shop Hop.
It was at The Little Red Hen Quilt Shop in Muscatine.
I don't usually buy a kit, but I liked this one a lot!

I got the poisonous backing fabric at Neal's Sewing in Muscatine too-on Sale!!
The fabric glows in the dark too!
Here it is all done. Now just wait for October, to hang it up!
And this weekend was tax free shopping-and diapers are included in the deal, so DD loaded up in anticipation of little gummy bear's arrival.
